Here we go again.

Apparently the Earthlings have recently started filming the sequel to last summer's Transformers movie. While I tried to stay on top of things during the production of the last film, I'm finding myself wanting to keep a distance from the hype and internet spoilers this time around. I think my largest detractor to the last film was things not being how I wanted them to be- even before I saw the film.
Michael Bay decided to give my character lips. And flames... And not even make me a cab-over engine. I should have just stopped at that point and realized that this movie wasn't the true story of my life or my comrades', and how our battle with the Decepticons led us to earth- but was instead just a Hollywood movie, made for entertainment. And more importantly, for Earthlings. Looking back at the film now, just as a viewer, I admit I was entertained. It did have good special effects and I thought the kid did a great job. I can see him going very far in his career.
I did think it was interesting that all of the females (other than the mother) in the film appeared to always be glistening and wearing make-up similar to those of prostitutes or Las Vegas showgirls. But I was told by several fans that that is typical for the female characters in Michael Bay productions. After later reviewing a few of his other films I did notice this trend. And after screening the movie with a theater full of fans, it was obvious from the pheromone levels amongst the males in the audience that the Sam character wasn't the only one who wanted to mate with the Mikaela character. So maybe the glistening and make-up were effective in their intended purpose.
But I digress. The sequel is being filmed as I type and I'm thinking of staying a little further away from the leaked information about it this time. For one, because I think the surprise facter was severely missing with the last film, as I knew nearly all of the plot lines before seeing it, and I think I'd like it more just watching it play out unknown. And for another, this one won't be loosely based on a part of my life, so I will be able to enjoy it more just being surprised, rather than comparing it to the story in my head of what was missing, or how or what should have been.
